Independent expert judges

Our independent expert judges, drawn from the major specialist trade organisations and national highways bodies, will work in pairs, or more, to judge all entries using our established judging platform. All entries are scored against the criteria explained in the entry process.

Judged in THE summer

Judging takes place in summer 2026 and the nominating organisations for the three categories of Medal winners (our Highways Champions Honourees) and those shortlisted for the Innovation, Safety and Process Change Awards, and the winner of the Highways Fellowship Award, will be informed shortly after 18 August 2026 so they can organise tables at the Highways Champions Awards ceremony on 4 November 2026.
